I've always said my favorite part of teaching is still having the hope of snow days. Is there any better feeling than having the radio tell you that you're getting a paid day off work to play in the snow? I contend there is not.
humbug. i did have to go to school. it took me 20 minutes to get to an assignment that's normally about 5 minutes away (long story). and my subbing day was all screwed up because a few teachers decided to go ahead and take a snow day that wasn't given to them by the district. (to be fair, i know of one who got stuck in traffic and another was a mom whose kids may have had to stay home. but still...)

i loved the snow day. it's so nice as it's a free "mental health" day.
